Who you are contracting with

BenchMark is operated by After Hours Education Limited, trading as rounded.education, registered in England and Wales, registered office Wellesley House, Duke Of Wellington Avenue, London SE18 6SS. In these terms “we” means that company and “you” means the school, college or trust holding the account.

The service

BenchMark is a self-evaluation tool that helps schools assess and evidence their enrichment offer against the DfE Enrichment Framework. It is a supportive tool: it is non-statutory and does not confer Ofsted or DfE approval.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the content your school enters. Accounts are for use by the school that registers them.

The Enrichment Mark

Applying for the Enrichment Mark is optional and paid. Where a fee applies it is shown before you commit. The Mark is an independent accreditation of your enrichment offer and is subject to review; it does not guarantee any particular external inspection outcome.

Fees, payment and renewal

BenchMark itself is free, with no card required and no trial that converts into a charge. The Enrichment Mark is a single fee covering a three-year term, shown in full before you commit and taken once by card at the point you apply. It is not a subscription and it does not renew automatically: applying again at the end of your term is a decision you make and pay for again. Prices are in pounds sterling.

An award runs for three years from the date it is granted. If we change our prices, the change affects future applications, never one you have already paid for.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel for a full refund at any time after paying and before your submission is allocated to a reviewer. Once a reviewer has been allocated and has begun, the fee is non-refundable, including where the outcome is unsuccessful: what you are paying for is an independent judgement, not a particular verdict.

If we miss our published turnaround, do not carry out the review as described, or cannot deliver for a reason that is ours rather than yours, we refund you in full. The full policy, including duplicate payments and how to challenge a review, is at rounded.education/refunds.

Your data

What we collect, why, and your rights over it are set out in our privacy notice. Your school’s self-evaluation, evidence and action plan remain yours. We do not sell them, and we do not show them to another school or to your trust unless you have chosen to share, which you can withdraw.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, but we provide it on a reasonable-efforts basis and may make changes to improve it.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, and because we sell to organisations rather than to consumers: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, and our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees you have paid us for the accreditation term in which the claim arises.

BenchMark records your school’s own judgements about its own provision. It is not an inspection, an audit or advice, and decisions you take about your provision remain yours.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
